Ardalan is a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in innovative smart technologies in horse industry and rock climbing. He worked as a robotic and automation consultant for a year and as a researcher for 6 months, before returning to academia to start his PhD in sensor technologies; developing a smart sensor technology for the sake of performance analysis of a galloping horse and maximising rock climber efficiency regarding the dynamic movements.
Additional research applications he has worked on include; protective helmets, smart helmets, climbing, and compression therapy for the post-burn healing process. Ardalan's PhD specifically focuses on performance analysis of these fields. This topic uses his background experiences in sport engineering projects and research skills gained in the past two years, under Prof. Franz Konstantin (Tino) Fuss' supervision. Furthermore, research is limited in these fields and mainly covers laboratory experiences and not actual race condition analysis.
