Ms. Donnell Davis
Donnell comes to the CDI with a wealth of experience across diverse areas. After 25 years in the public sector in reform and developmental portfolios, she has gained 15 years of adventures in international and local work through the private and third sectors. Her business background has been the foundation for innovative approaches to solving complex challenges, while her policy and sustainability qualifications have been tested through action in Commonwealth small island states, and Asia Pacific countries. She is committed to continuing education through professional bodies and community advocacy.
She practices what she preaches by (1) designing and delivering Climate Sensitive Cities© Programs in countries embracing proactive systems to retrofit cities; (2) training and coordinating mentors for microenterprise programs for climate change projects for empowerment of communities to create a safer future; (3) designing, funding and managing independent housing for older women in Brisbane; and (4) actively enhancing the systemic role of women for embedding design components for safer cities. Her legacy includes Envirobusiness Foundation for advancing women’s education in sustainability.
Her aim is to make every dollar to make a difference in the right direction, with more ethical investment through culturally appropriate innovation.
