Charlie is an interdisciplinary researcher working in product design and new product development in the field of aesthetics and product brand identity.
Charlie's work leverages cutting edge research in 3d modelling tools, aesthetics and marketing to help companies identify core elements of their product brand DNA and to style products that best fit with their branding and marketing goals. Recent research projects with companies such as Crown lager, BMW, Apple, Samsung have helped to define styling guidelines based on market conditions that resulted in more effective product differentiation and greater competitive edge.
Charlie is widely published in the Journal of Design Studies and through a number of proceedings of Design research conferences.
