ZakPage & The National Aboriginal Design Agency
Zakpage is a bespoke studio fusing various disciplines to create elegant visual narratives. We are about strengthening identity through film, installation and design. We co-create with communities, corporations placemakers and cultural practitioners. The National Aboriginal Design Agency brokers partnerships between Aboriginal Artists and manufacturers to create unique design products such as carpets, lighting, furniture, textiles, wall coverings, and architectural products with an Aboriginal aesthetic. It is an opportunity for manufacturers to be first to market with an authentic Aboriginal product that ‘tells a story’. Alison Page is the Director of the National Aboriginal Design Agency and Chairperson of the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence. Working in architecture, film, interiors, jewellery and public art, Alison champions the recognition of Aboriginal design as a perspective that honours the origin and intention of Aboriginal stories, and which adds value to design beyond aesthetics or pattern making.
